One Open Lab plan for your whole lab.
The lab head subscribes once. Students, postdocs and collaborators each work under their own login, and all of them get the Team plan in the lab's projects without a paid account of their own.
The trial applies to monthly Team. Annual Team can be paid by invoice.
Why not share one account?
Many labs run Open Lab on a single login that everyone uses. It works until someone graduates with the password, two people need different permissions, or the lab's studies turn out to belong to whoever registered the address.
The lab head sees the lab's work
As the author of the lab's projects, the lab head can open every study in them with an Owner's rights: the study, its participants, invitations and data, including studies that members created and linked in.
No shared password
Every member has their own account and a role in each project: Owner, Editor, Data Analyst, Participant Manager or Viewer. When someone leaves, remove them from the project and their access ends. Nobody has to change a password.
Students don't need a paid plan
On Basic and Pro, each collaborator keeps their own plan, so a student on Free works with Free limits in your project. On Team, everyone in your projects works with the Team plan.
Paid the way universities pay
An annual invoice in the name of your lab or institution, with a VAT number, payable by bank transfer. Or monthly by card, starting with a 30-day free trial.
How a lab sets it up

Subscribe once
The lab head subscribes to Team in their own name and creates a project for each thesis, grant or line of research.

Invite the lab
Add students, postdocs and co-supervisors to each project with the role they need. A thesis student can be an Editor; a co-supervisor who only reads results can be a Data Analyst or Viewer.

Bring existing studies along
A member can link a study they already run into the lab's project. From then on the study runs under the Team plan, and the lab head can open it with an Owner's rights: no transfer, and the data already collected stays where it is.

Grow without changing plans
New members join each semester without a new subscription, and members who move on are removed from the project in one step.

Questions from lab heads
- Do students and collaborators need their own paid plan?
- No. On Team, everyone in your projects works with the Team plan. Their own account can stay on Free.
- What happens to a study a student already runs on their own account?
- The student links it to your project from the project's Studies view. It then runs under the Team plan, with its data in place.
- Can I see my students' studies?
- Yes, every study in your projects, with an Owner's rights. For studies that encrypt their data, you also need a decryption key: once you have set up encryption on your account, the student shares data access with you from the study's settings, as for any collaborator.
- Can we pay by invoice?
- Yes. Choose the invoice option for Team on the pricing page after signing in. The invoice is issued to your lab or institution, with your VAT number, for annual billing.
- Can we try it first?
- Monthly Team starts with a 30-day free trial. A card is needed to start it, and nothing is charged if you cancel before the trial ends.
- We are a whole department or institution.
